HOMER, La. -- A nearly two-year-long investigation into an intentionally set house fire in Homer has resulted in a second arrest.
The Claiborne Parish Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday arrested Richard Rockholt, 36, of Homer and charged him with principal to aggravated arson. The investigation previously resulted in the arrest of Steven Ray, 37, of Homer on May 22, 2025, who was charged with aggravated arson.
The investigation stems from a Sept. 23, 2024 fire involving an abandoned home in the 900 block of Nunley Street. The Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal investigated the incident and determined the fire had been intentionally set. SFM deputies later obtained an arrest warrant for Rockholt.
The Homer Fire Department initially responded to the fire and requested investigative assistance from the SFM.
This remains an active investigation.
