2 men arrested in DeSoto, Bossier child sexual abuse investigations

Two men have been arrested in separate investigations involving child sexual abuse material in northwest Louisiana.

In DeSoto Parish, investigators arrested Davis Jerry Sepulvado Jr., 55, of Grand Cane, following an investigation that began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children submitted a CyberTip through the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and the Louisiana Attorney General's Office regarding suspected online distribution of child sexual abuse material.

According to the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office, Sepulvado was identified as the person responsible for distributing child sexual abuse material online. He was arrested and booked into the DeSoto Parish Detention Center on June 9 on five counts related to child sexual abuse material.

Authorities said a forensic examination of electronic devices seized during the investigation later uncovered an additional 2,203 files of child sexual abuse material, as well as six files related to sexual abuse of an animal. As a result, investigators presented Sepulvado with additional charges on Monday.

In a separate case, the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of John Usie, 27, of Bossier City following an investigation conducted in partnership with the Louisiana Attorney General's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a CyberTip that led investigators to Bossier City. Detectives identified Usie as the suspect during the investigation.

Usie was charged with 40 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and one count of distribution of child sexual abuse material. His bond was set at $400,000.

Authorities said the Bossier Parish investigation remains active and that additional charges could be filed as forensic examinations continue.
