Marshall Whataburger shooting

MARSHALL, Texas - The Marshall Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting at a Whataburger on Victory Drive that left two people dead and two others injured.

Marshall Police officers responded to a 9-1-1 call at the restaurant around 1:50 a.m. and found multiple victims with gunshot wounds in the parking lot.

A total of four people were shot during the incident.

Two victims were pronounced dead.

Criminal Investigations Division detectives and investigators from the Joint Harrison County Violent Crime and Narcotics Task Force are leading the investigation.

Several agencies are assisting with the case.

Assisting agencies include the Harrison County District Attorney’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety Texas Rangers, Harrison County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, Texas DPS Patrol, and the Longview Police Department.

The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending next of kin notification.
