Omaha man charged with attempted murder in CB cutting

(Council Bluffs) – An Omaha man is charged with two felonies, including attempted murder, following a cutting incident in Council Bluffs Monday afternoon.

The Council Bluffs Police Department says officers were called to the 2700 block of Avenue A around 4:30 p.m. Authorities say they found 43-year-old Seth Henderson of Council Bluffs with multiple cut wounds. He was taken to Nebraska Medicine in Omaha for treatment.

An investigation revealed that Henderson had been in an altercation with 50-year-old Jeremy Thomas of Omaha. Police say Thomas cut Henderson multiple times and fled the scene.

Several hours later, Thomas turned himself in to authorities. He was charged with attempted murder – a class B felony – and going armed with intent – a class D felony. He was taken to the Pottawattamie County Jail pending further court proceedings.
