FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) — The Fargo Police Department was asking people to avoid the area near the 100 block of 15th St. S. because of an ongoing incident Tuesday morning, Aug. 25.
The area was near the Doyle’s Checker Cab building on Main Avenue.
Fargo police say that at around 8:28 a.m. they received a report of a disturbance and a wanted individual.
Officers say when they arrived on scene they learned that 39-year-old Timothy Lowseth had assaulted an individual and was causing a disturbance inside the residence. Lowseth remained inside the house refusing orders to exit and threatened to harm officers if they attempted to enter.
FPD made a perimeter around the residence while trying to talk with Lowseth to de-escalate the situation.
After approximately 45 minutes, Lowseth exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident.
Lowseth was arrested for terrorizing and preventing arrest. He was taken to the Cass County Jail.
He was also arrested for an active warrant in connection to a property damage incident in south Moorhead that happened on July 30.
