Tasty Tuesday visits Lagniappe Specialty Meats in Texarkana

TEXARKANA, Ark. - Scoot up to the table and grab a fork. KTBS checked out a popular hot spot in Texarkana, Ark., for this week's edition of Tasty Tuesday.

KTBS 3's Taylor Gibson is sampling what Lagniappe Specialty Meats has to offer.

The butcher shop and Cajun food market opened in 2016 and features authentic Acadian and Louisiana-style flavors, specialty meats and daily plate lunches.

Located at 4012 Jefferson Avenue, the shop offers a wide selection of hand-prepped and seasoned items. Customers can find boudin balls, crawfish-stuffed chickens, andouille and green onion garlic sausage, stuffed pork roasts, turducken and alligator. The meat counter also features premium steaks, ribs, and traditional butcher cuts alongside ready-to-bake frozen casseroles.

Daily lunch specials are served Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until sold out. The rotating menu includes traditional dishes like shrimp stew, fried catfish, smothered pork chops, and red beans and rice paired with sides like potato salad and fried cabbage.

Lagniappe Specialty Meats is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The market is closed on Sundays.
