TEXARKANA, Texas – The Texarkana Arkansas Citizens Academy Alumni Association held a 50/50 raffle over Friday and Saturday.

The benefit helps bolster the police department with equipment and items needed to support community safety.

“You just show up, it’s $20 per entry, you get two targets,” said Fox Squad Armory owner John Marshall. “You go out there, do the course of fire, we score them, put them on a big scoreboard; those will be posted after the event’s done, and it’s pretty simple.”

The 50/50 Raffle raised $1,000 from the event, so $500 went to the citizens academy alumni and $500 was given to the top three shooters.

Fox Squad Armory also included some door prizes and other sponsors donated food, hats, flashlights and gift cards, said Marshall, and much of the community shows support for the event.
