Missouri tennis coach Robin Goodman announced the addition of Irina Anghel on Tuesday from Bucharest, Romania.

Anghel made the Women’s World Tennis Tour W35 semifinal in doubles June 21, along with two WWT W15 finals appearances. She holds a 551 doubles ranking according to the Women’s Tennis Association and a World Tennis ranking of 490.

She also has a 9.75 singles ranking according to the Universal Tennis Association and a 10.42 doubles ranking. Anghel trained at Nastase & Marica Tennis Club in Bucharest.

“We are excited to welcome Irina to our family. She is a fantastic player who brings extensive pro tour experience to our program,” Goodman said in a statement. “During the recruiting process, she showed tremendous dedication and commitment to her tennis development. She has big goals of a future career on the pro tour, and we would love to help her on that journey.”
