Former Mizzou standout Mark Mitchell went undrafted following the completion of the second round of the NBA Draft on Wednesday in New York.

Though Mitchell was not selected on Day 2, he could still be signed by an NBA team to a two-way contract or Exhibit 10 deal in the coming days.

SEC talent headed to the NBA

A number of Southeastern Conference players were selected in both rounds of the draft.

Kickapoo High School and Arkansas product forward Trevon Brazile was selected 35th overall by the San Antonio Spurs. Brazile spent his freshman season at Mizzou before moving south to join the Razorbacks for four seasons.

Arkansas standout guard Darius Acuff Jr. joined Brazile as one of three Razorbacks chosen, going seventh overall to the Sacramento Kings. Fellow freshman guard Meleek Thomas was also chosen by Sacramento with the 34th overall pick, but he was immediately dealt to Cleveland.

Tennessee equaled Arkansas’ total of three players selected with three of its own. Freshman forward Nate Ament led the charge, going 13th overall to Miami for Milwaukee. He was joined by senior guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie and senior forward Felix Okpara, whoe were both selected in the second round.

Kentucky followed Tennessee and Arkansas with two draft selections of its own. Jayden Quaintance went 20th overall to San Antonio, while senior guard Otega Oweh was selected 41st overall by the Heat before being dealt to Oklahoma City.

Texas, Alabama and Vanderbilt each had one player selected. The Longhorns’ Dailyn Swain went to Chicago with the 15th pick, the Crimson Tide’s Labaron Philon Jr. was chosen 22nd by Philadelphia, and Vanderbilt’s Tyler Nickel went 47th to Phoenix before being traded to the recently crowned NBA champion New York Knicks.
