Mizzou coaches pose with Katie Muller (11) during her official visit in Columbia. Muller is the Tigers’ first commit in the class of 2027.
Head coach Kellie Harper earned a 2027 commitment from Katie Muller, the No. 2 rated recruit in Iowa according to PrepHoops Iowa. Muller announced her commitment to the Tigers on Friday via X.
The 6-foot-2 guard will be a senior at Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, Iowa, the alma mater of WNBA phenom Caitlin Clark. She is the sister of incoming freshman Ellie Muller. The sisters played three seasons together at DCHS and made two state final appearances (2024 and 2025) and one semifinal appearance (2026) in IGHSAU Class 5A. The rising senior earned first team all-state honors from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association. She led Class 5A in assists per game last season, and Ellie led the class in both rebounds and blocks.
During the club season, Muller plays for the Missouri Phenom on the Nike EYBL circuit.
Muller chose Mizzou over multiple Power-4 schools, including Kansas, Minnesota and Iowa.
The Tigers are coming off a 17-17 season and, with the first commitment of her second season as head coach, Harper looks to continue to build the momentum. Five roster spots remain open for the 2027-2028 season.
