MU softball added left-handed pitcher Mary Peyton Hodge in the transfer portal Saturday. Hodge appeared in 11 games during the 2025-26 season and pitched 25 innings, finishing the season with a 2-1 record.

Hodge logged 16 strikeouts and allowed 31 hits and 21 earned runs, recording a 5.88 ERA. She made appearances against Utah, Michigan and Wisconsin, among others. She made her collegiate debut against Portland State this past season.

“We’re excited to welcome Mary Peyton Hodge to Mizzou,” Larissa Anderson said in a statement. “She was one of the most highly regarded pitchers in her recruiting class, and we’re thrilled she has chosen our program for the next chapter of her career. She has tremendous talent, and we’re looking forward to providing the environment, coaching, and daily opportunities for her to continue developing into the pitcher we know she can become.”

Hodge is the fourth transfer addition Anderson has brought in so far. The most recent is Georgia infielder Tyah Charlton, who posted a .333 batting average and logged four RBI in 11 games.

MU also recently added infielder Jana Want from from Middle Tennessee State and right-handed pitcher Nealy Lamb from South Carolina. 

Mizzou tennis adds Skelton from SMU

Missouri tennis did some transfer portal work, adding Millie Skelton from SMU. Skelton, who hails from Hull, England, last appeared for the Mustangs in the 2024-25 season. She recorded a 16-29 singles record and a 16-14 doubles record over two seasons. She went 6-1 in her doubles matches during her sophomore campaign.
