Despite the win not counting toward Mizzou soccer’s record this season, the Tigers opened the fall on a high note by beating Lindenwood 3-1 in an exhibition matchup Wednesday in St. Charles.
Following two goals from Mizzou to put the Tigers up 2-1 at half, in-state freshman Lana Adams secured the victory with a late second-half goal to put Mizzou up 3-1.
Prior to this matchup, the last time the two teams met was in 2024, when the Tigers defeated the Lions 2-0 in a preseason exhibition.
In 2025, Mizzou finished with a 4-10-3 record, going 1-7-2 in Southeastern Conference play.
The Tigers’ first test of the regular season is set for Aug. 13, when they take on Western Kentucky in Bowling Green, Kentucky. They’ll start Southeastern Conference play Sept. 11, when they head to Norman, Oklahoma, to take on the Sooners.
