Mizzou soccer falls to Missouri State on the road
Mizzou dropped its second game of the year in a 1-0 loss to Missouri State on Sunday.
It was a defensive battle for much of the matchup Sunday afternoon, but Mizzou soccer fell to Missouri State 1-0 after a goal in the 85th minute from Lillie Rasmussen at Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium in Springfield.
The Tigers (1-2-1) controlled the tempo for the majority the match, leading the Bears 9-5 in shots and 10-3 in corner kicks. That included good looks from junior Landis Canada and freshman Lana Adams, but none found the back of the net, resulting in their second loss of the season so far.
Senior goalkeeper Riley Wilkerson finished the day with two saves, playing all 90 minutes.
Mizzou will return to Audrey J. Walton Stadium at 6 p.m. Thursday, when it hosts Northern Illinois. The match will be streamed on SEC Network+.
