Everybody wants to see the new-look Mizzou men’s basketball squad take the court next season, and Mizzou athletics released a way to help make it happen.

On Thursday, Mizzou athletics announced the launch of the Border Lockdown Ticket Special, which gives men’s basketball season-ticket holders and Mizzou Leadership Circle members a chance to purchase discounted tickets for three neutral-site nonconference games.

By renewing season tickets, fans will get discounted ticket prices for the following games: $100 for Mizzou versus Saint Louis on Nov. 6 in St. Louis (on sale July 21), $100 for Mizzou versus Kansas on Dec. 6 in Kansas City (on sale mid-Aug.) and $50 for Mizzou versus Nebraska on Dec. 12 in Kansas City (on sale mid-Sept.)

While no discount is offered for the Mizzou versus Illinois Braggin’ Rights game, projected to be played Dec. 22 in St. Louis, fans who renew season tickets will be moved to the front of the line for tickets for the clash against Illinois.

“We’re really looking forward to what promises to be one of the most exciting seasons of Mizzou men’s basketball, and we’re pleased to provide our season-ticket holders a unique opportunity to create a true home-court advantage in both St. Louis and Kansas City,” Mizzou athletic director Laird Veatch said. “We worked closely with Enterprise Center and T-Mobile Center to be able to reward the loyalty and dedication of our season-ticket holders with a significant price reduction to make it easier to support our team.”

While Mizzou’s games against Kansas and Illinois have been played in recent seasons, the other two matchups spark renewed rivalries — Mizzou hasn’t played Nebraska since the 2010-11 season and hasn’t played Saint Louis since the 2001-02 season.

It’ll be an all-eyes-on-Missouri season, and it starts with a competitive nonconference slate.
