Three-star defensive lineman Dami Sowunmi committed to the Tigers on Wednesday, per Rivals/On3. With Sowunmi’s commitment, Missouri has 10 incoming members from the Class of 2027.

Sowunmi is the fourth defender to commit, joining safeties Jabarri Lofton and Keiran Govan and linebacker Caleb Green. He comes to Missouri from Brownsburg, Indiana, choosing the Tigers over programs such as Indiana, Michigan, Vanderbilt, Kansas, Kansas State and more.

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound defensive lineman had a breakout season for Brownsburg High School in 2025, recording 36 tackles compared to 13 the year before. Sowunmi notched five sacks and one fumble recovery as well.

As June approaches, recruiting is sure to heat up. Mizzou will look to keep building its 2027 class.
