Catcher Charlie Wortham announced his commitment to Mizzou baseball via X on Wednesday, headlining the latest wave of transfers to join the Tigers.

Wortham attended De Smet Jesuit in Creve Coeur and was the top-ranked catching prospect and No. 4 overall prospect in Missouri in the Class of 2025, according to Perfect Game.

Wortham committed to Mississippi State upon graduation and redshirted last season. With four years of eligibility remaining, Wortham may take over from long-tenured catcher Mateo Serna, who transferred to Alabama earlier in the offseason.

Mizzou also received a commitment from promising outfielder Khamaree Thomas, who announced his intentions Tuesday on X.

Thomas played at Michigan State, where he received the Danny Litwhiler Defensive Player of the Year and the Steve Garvey Most Improved Player awards, both of which are honors presented to players on Michigan State’s roster.

A left-handed hitter and thrower, Thomas batted .319 in 51 games for the Spartans in 2026. Thomas made 31 of his 50 starts in center field, 10 in left and nine as a designated hitter. He led the Spartans in stolen bases (eight) and walks (21) while finishing second in runs (40).

Thomas has the potential to be a table setter and to fill the gap left by Kaden Peer, who recently transferred to Missouri State. Thomas had six sacrifice bunts last season to lead the Spartans.

The third big addition for the team also came Tuesday, when Adam Kilburn announced his commitment via X.

Kilburn enters his sophomore season after spending a year at San Jacinto College. A product of Oakville High School near St. Louis, Kilburn was ranked as the No. 12 right-handed pitcher in the state by Perfect Game in the Class of 2025.

Kilburn made only one start last season, pitching a total of 14 innings over eight outings. He allowed just one extra-base hit over those frames and finished with a 3.86 ERA.

The portal closed to players looking to transfer out of their current teams Tuesday, meaning the Tigers won’t lose any further players but could still add.
