Former Mizzou standout Gabi Jacobs and Hickman alum Chandler Gibbens competed on the final day of the USATF Outdoor Championships on Sunday in New York.

Jacobs finished sixth in the women’s discus with a result of 197 feet, 6 inches, while Gibbens earned a 13th-place finish in the men’s 5,000-meter run with a time of 13 minutes, 57.88 seconds. After leading the race through the first 3,600 meters, Gibbens struggled and fell 12 spots during the final 1,400.

The Hickman alum also competed in the 10,000 on Thursday, earning a fourth-place finish in a loaded field.

Four Tigers earned top-five finishes over the weekend.
