Mizzou Athletics announced the latest addition to the 2026 class of the Mizzou Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday in former track athlete Dr. Nicki Webber Moore.

During her tenure as a Tiger from 1993-96, she won three Big 12 titles and qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 800-meter dash twice. Moore graduated holding the indoor 800 school record and she set the program’s first women’s pole vault record.

Moore went on to graduate from the University of Missouri with three different degrees, including a Bachelor’s in secondary education, then a master’s and doctorate in counseling psychology, the latter coming in 2002.

After her stint as a student athlete, Moore moved to an administrative role, as she became the senior administrator of the athletics department at Oklahoma from 2004-15. In 2022, Moore was named the first female athletic director at Cornell, a position she has served for the past four years.

“There’s really not that many student athletes that have that kind of impact and then go on to continue to impact our profession like you have,” Director of Athletics Laird Veatch said to Moore in a video published Friday.

Veatch and deputy athletic director Marcy Girton presented Moore with the honor.

“I’m so touched and really, really honored and really grateful,” Moore said in response.

Moore is now the third member of the Mizzou Hall of Fame Class of 2026, a list that includes the former football star Nick Bolton and former softball standout Ashley Fleming.
