In a case of don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time, a Douglasville man has been charged with failing to complete court-ordered community service and allegedly forging signatures on attendance records.
Robert Dural Morris, 36, faces six counts of first-degree forgery. He was arrested Friday and being held on a $12,000 bond because of a probation violation.
According to arrest warrants from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Morris allegedly forged the signatures of three county employees without showing up to complete his community service requirements.
He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence last September and was ordered to attend drug classes and complete community service hours as part of the plea agreement.
Arrest warrants allege that he forged the signatures of three county employees for community service he was supposed to have completed with Douglas County Animal Services on July 18 and 19, as well as with American Legion Post 145 on Aug. 1, 7 and 8.
