LITTLE FALLS TOWNSHIP, N.J., Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC today announced four additions to its New Jersey offices: Denis G. Murphy as Partner, Michael B. Mietlicki as Counsel in the Litigation Group, and Kimberly Diaz and Serene N. Hozien as Associates. Murphy, Diaz, and Hozien join the Little Falls office, and Mietlicki will be based primarily in Red Bank.
This is the firm's fourth round of hiring since May. Four attorneys joined in the spring. In June, an eight-attorney team led by Mark A. Tabakin came aboard. August brought an expansion of the Litigation Group. With this month's additions, Scarinci Hollenbeck has welcomed 20 new legal professionals in four months.
"Every addition we have made this year reflects the same standard: attorneys our clients would choose for themselves," said Managing Partner Donald Scarinci.
Three Decades of Litigation and Counseling Experience
Denis G. Murphy brings nearly three decades of experience as General Counsel and Special Counsel to entities of all sizes across New Jersey, and has lectured on ethics and public contracting. As general and special counsel, he has extensive experience in the preparation of legislation, the negotiation and drafting of contracts and Shared Services Agreements, the Open Public Records Act ("OPRA") and Open Public Meetings Act ("OPMA"), and disputes involving challenges to the proper exercise of governmental authority.
"Scarinci Hollenbeck has built a deep bench across every area my clients depend on," said Murphy. "I am excited to join a team that shares my commitment to practical, protective counsel."
Strengthening the Litigation Bench
Michael B. Mietlicki, based primarily in the firm's Red Bank office, focuses on complex commercial litigation and business counseling. Admitted in New Jersey and New York, he handles corporate governance matters, shareholder and partnership disputes, breach-of-contract claims, intellectual property litigation, and commercial torts.
"Business disputes rarely stay in one lane," said Mietlicki. "I am glad to join a Litigation Group with the depth to handle matters of any size on both sides of the Hudson."
Rising Talent Joins the Firm
Kimberly Diaz joins following her judicial clerkship in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Hudson County, where she served in both the Family and Civil Divisions, and earned her J.D. from Widener University Commonwealth Law School. Serene N. Hozien joins after clerking for the Honorable Peter J. Tober in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Somerset County, and earned her J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.
