Dr. Beck and Dr. Kulkarni bring decades of leadership across pharmaceutical R&D, clinical development, clinical operations, regulatory strategy, enterprise technology and organizational transformation. Their complementary experience will help PhaseV expand AI Conductor and apply causal machine learning and Bayesian adaptive methods across the clinical development lifecycle.

Dr. Beck brings more than 30 years of industry and academic experience spanning discovery research, translational medicine, global clinical development, patient safety and medical affairs. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Organon, where he built and led global clinical development, safety and corporate R&D governance. He has also held senior executive roles at Merck & Co. (MSD), Amgen, Genentech and AstraZeneca, leading international teams from discovery through global Phase 1 to Phase 4 filings. He earned an MD and PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Heidelberg and a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Southern California.

His background also includes leadership roles at Accenture, IQVIA and Booz & Co., along with board positions at clinical data and technology companies including ThoughtSphere. Dr. Kulkarni holds an MBA from Stanford University, a PhD and MS in Pharmaceutics from Temple University, and a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Bombay.
