JND Legal Administration Appoints Nathan Reff as Director of Applied Science

SEATTLE, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- JND Legal Administration, the U.S. leader in legal management and administration services, today announced the appointment of Nathan Reff as Director of Applied Science within the company's Innovation and Strategy division, the team spearheading JND's AI transformation. Reff joins an established group of AI experts whose work has set the standard for how AI is applied in legal administration. A mathematician and applied AI leader known for a rigorous, research-driven approach to building AI systems, Reff brings more than a decade of experience spanning academic research and applied artificial intelligence.

Reff has spent the past several years at the leading edge of applied AI, building generative AI and machine learning solutions that have reshaped how legal organizations work. He is known for a measurement-driven methodology that treats defensibility as seriously as performance, with careful attention to evaluation, bias assessment, and workflow design. These priorities align directly with the standards JND's Innovation and Strategy team has built its reputation on.

Reff holds a PhD in Mathematics from Binghamton University and spent a decade as a tenured professor, earning the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2019. He is a strong communicator across technical and non-technical audiences, a skill he applies in working directly with clients and domain experts.
