The patented design uses a pivoting lever that acts directly on the adhesive ampoule, generating controlled pressure to dispense adhesive when depressed and immediately halting flow when released. Paired with the Cutiva™ high-viscosity, no-run liquid adhesive, the applicator enables precise, intermittent dosing and clean, single-handed application that supports reliable wound closure, which are hallmarks of the Cutiva™ PLUS Skin Closure System. The System is cleared by the US FDA and is available and being used across the United States.
