OHUBNext pairs practical AI training with high-growth company building and early-stage investment education
ATLANTA, Aug. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Opportunity Hub (OHUB) and CompTIA today announced a partnership to expand access to practical artificial intelligence (AI) training through OHUBNext. By pairing CompTIA's curriculum pathways with OHUB education in high-growth company building and early-stage investment, the initiative aims to reach one million Americans by 2030.
"AI is becoming an operating layer of the economy, but access to a tool is not the same as readiness to use it," said Dr. Rodney Sampson, executive chairman and CEO of OHUB. From AI adoption to economic readiness
Federal agencies are accelerating investment in AI workforce readiness. The National Science Foundation's AI-Ready America initiative could provide up to $1 million annually for three years to as many as 56 state and territory hubs, while the Labor Department is offering approximately $40 million in industry-driven training grants whose priority sectors include information technology and AI.
"As the federal government places greater emphasis on AI readiness, workers and institutions need an accessible way to respond," said Kieran Blanks, MBA, chief product officer at OHUB. Delivered through CompTIA Essentials, the 12-course curriculum spans high-demand fields—including AI, data analytics, cloud infrastructure, and project management. Learners validate their skills by earning dual CompTIA CompCerts and OHUB Certificates. By combining workplace AI training with OHUB's venture-building and investment literacy programs, OHUBNext establishes a direct pathway to economic readiness.
