Integration will bring container tracking, vessel schedules, and port information directly into Magaya Supply Chain
MIAMI, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Magaya Corporation, the leading freight management platform for freight forwarders and customs brokers, today announced a new integration with PortConnect, New Zealand's comprehensive port community system.

The integration will give freight forwarders using Magaya Supply Chain direct access to container tracking and port information from across New Zealand. By bringing this data into the same system teams use to manage shipments, warehousing, and logistics operations, the integration will help users monitor cargo movements, respond to exceptions, and keep customers informed without switching between systems.
Through the integration, information such as container movements and locations, import availability, Customs Customs, MPI (Agriculture) and Line clearance statuses, vessel schedules, and estimated arrival and departure times will flow from PortConnect into Magaya Supply Chain. This will provide operations teams with a more complete view of each shipment and reduce the time spent checking separate port systems or manually updating shipment records.
The announcement follows the recent launch of Magaya Global Customs Compliance for New Zealand, which brought customs filing capabilities developed specifically for the New Zealand market to the Magaya Digital Freight Platform. The PortConnect integration represents the latest expansion of Magaya's capabilities for freight forwarders and customs brokers operating in New Zealand.
"Freight forwarders need timely, accurate information to keep cargo moving and give their customers clear answers," said Mark Buman, Chief Revenue Officer at Magaya. "By bringing PortConnect data directly into Magaya Supply Chain, we are creating a more connected workflow for New Zealand logistics providers. Teams will be able to manage freight operations, customs compliance, and local container visibility within the Magaya platform, helping them work more efficiently and respond sooner when plans change."
Built through Magaya Connect, the integration will use system-to-system connectivity to bring standardized PortConnect data into Magaya Supply Chain. PortConnect will remain the independent provider of the underlying port and container information, while Magaya will display that information within relevant shipment records and operational workflows.
Key benefits include:
- Container status, location, and movement information are displayed within Magaya Supply Chain
- Vessel schedules and estimated arrival and departure information
- Visibility into import availability and relevant border clearance statuses
- Automatic updates that reduce manual tracking and duplicate data entry
- Earlier awareness of delays, holds, and other shipment exceptions
- More complete information for customer service and operational decision-making
- Connected freight management, customs compliance, and container visibility for New Zealand operations
"PortConnect is focused on making standardized, reliable port and container information more accessible across New Zealand's supply chain," said Michele Hansen, Commercial Manager at PortConnect. "Making PortConnect data available within Magaya Supply Chain will give freight forwarders another way to access the information they need within their existing operational workflows. This can help reduce manual information gathering, improve visibility, and support more efficient cargo movement."
The integration will complement the capabilities already available in Magaya Supply Chain, which helps freight forwarders manage shipments, warehousing, accounting, tracking, and customer service from a single logistics platform. Combined with Magaya Global Customs Compliance for New Zealand, it gives local logistics providers a complete solution for managing freight from shipment creation through customs clearance and port activity.
