A Beautiful Start to Fall
September is almost here, and so is the Women’s Fellowship Benefit Fashion Show, Auction & Luncheon on Thursday, September 17. At the heart of the Benefit is something much more important than the afternoon itself—the opportunity to support organizations that make a meaningful difference throughout our community.
The Fall, The Belltower and the Cross.
September is almost here, and so is the Women’s Fellowship Benefit Fashion Show, Auction & Luncheon on Thursday, September 17. At the heart of the Benefit is something much more important than the afternoon itself—the opportunity to support organizations that make a meaningful difference throughout our community.
Each ticket purchased and every auction bid helps extend that support beyond the walls of the Big Canoe Chapel Women’s Fellowship, benefiting the local organizations and programs at the heart of our charitable giving. If you haven’t yet made plans to attend, tickets are available for $75 through September 3 at women.bigcanoechapel.org.
As Labor Day weekend marks the unofficial close of summer, Women’s Fellowship is also looking ahead to a wonderful fall season. Our Fall Bible Study, Desperate for Hope: Questions We Ask God in Suffering, Loss & Longing by Vaneetha Risner, begins Wednesday, September 2.
The seven-session study meets Wednesdays through October 14, from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. in McCormick Hall. Through Scripture and the experiences of women in the Bible, we’ll explore God’s faithfulness and the enduring hope found in His character, goodness, and sovereignty. Online registration continues through October 1, and the study materials are available through Amazon and Lifeway.
Then, on Thursday, October 22, Women’s Fellowship will gather for this year’s Fall Retreat, Spiritual Hydration – Drawing from the Living Water. From 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. in Cousins Hall, the day will offer an opportunity for spiritual renewal through God’s Word with guest speaker The Reverend Dr. Ellen Shepard, music by the Chapel’s own Jana Andringa, and a catered lunch from Cue BBQ.
Rooted in Jesus’ promise of “living water,” the retreat will focus on deepening our relationship with Christ, renewing our faith, and finding spiritual nourishment through God’s Word. The cost for the Fall Retreat is $35, with online registration open September 10–October 11.
As summer gives way to fall, we look forward to a wonderful season ahead and hope you’ll join us for one—or all—of these special Women’s Fellowship gatherings.
