Erie Officers and SWAT Search for Wanted Man on East Side
A police operation took place on East 24th Street in Erie as officers executed a search warrant seeking a wanted man, after he was reportedly seen fleeing into a residence. Authorities have not confirmed if he was apprehended.
A major police presence was reported in Erie Thursday night as officers executed a search warrant at a residence on East 24th Street.
According to Erie Police, officers were searching for Dorrell Antoun McLaurin Jr., who is wanted on a probation warrant.
Police say the warrant indicates McLaurin was seen inside a vehicle, leading officers to pursue him. Investigators say McLaurin then ran into a residence on East 24th Street.
SWAT officers also responded as police worked for more than two hours to locate McLaurin.
Police have not released additional details about the search or whether McLaurin was taken into custody.
